Vida Pelágica is an association dedicated to promoting sustainable practices in sport fishing. We represent MT operators and fishermen, working to ensure this activity is regulated and has the lowest possible environmental impact.

 

Our work focuses on collecting and sharing scientific data, monitoring best practices, and supporting the implementation and management of measures that promote the conservation of the marine ecosystem. We collaborate with researchers and national and international organizations to promote environmental education and the development of sustainable practices related to the sea.

 

We want to ensure that this form of fishing, far from being just recreational, becomes an example of environmental, economic, and cultural value for the Azores, promoting an identity of excellence, care for the ocean, and benefit for local communities.
